CQA 44: “. . . all experiences are effects; they are never causes. . . the cause, therefore, lies within the experiencer. That means, of course, our self and that’s known as personal responsibility . . . Life reveals to us in this world that we attempt to ridicule and to destroy what we fear. . . What we cannot control, we attempt to destroy or to ignore. . . A fool fears what he does not understand and is a fool because he’s not willing to make the effort to investigate. . . We cannot gain tolerance until we make the effort to understand. We cannot make the effort to understand until we have suffered sufficiently with what we think we already have in consciousness. . . to bring about a change, we must let go of what we think we have. But that is not what our minds want to do. . . The Living Light Philosophy teaches evolution through self-application of the laws revealed. . . goal is a lifeline; choose wisely. . . There is nothing that stands in the way of our purpose, in the way of our goal but the judgments of our mind that tell us we haven’t achieved it yet, we’re so far from it, what’s the use? . . .Humility is a soul faculty. . . sex or procreation is a sense function. . . no one ever understands anything that they do not communicate about. . . Once we understand and are satisfied with our understanding of what it means to us, then we will find a balance begin to take place in our consciousness between the soul faculties and the sense functions. . . our thought of need is a delusion, an effect of denial.”

CQA 45: “. . . that which stimulates and challenges the senses, indeed, helps the ego to expand. We don’t teach it helps the ego to be educated. It does just the contrary; it helps it to expand. . . If a person judges that, first, they desire something and, second, that they do not have it and, third, that it is attainable somewhere beyond them, then in keeping with those laws established shall man bind himself to the realm of consciousness in which he has established the law. . . When we tempt to impose our will, our limited views and judgments upon another, we open the door to what is known as problems or trouble. . . that which grants us freedom is personal responsibility. . . denial in this philosophy reveals our destiny. . . ‘Therefore, I am truth. Therefore, I am free. Therefore, I am not dependent upon anything beyond my own consciousness, which is God, the Divine itself. I am not dependent upon anything that is beyond that; therefore, I do not experience need. Not experiencing need, I do not establish the laws of denial. Not establishing the laws of denial, I do not experience the destiny of want.’ . . fear is the mind’s control over the eternal consciousness or the eternal being or the soul. . . Now the power of will or the will power of man is the lord or the law of man’s universe. . . energy follows attention. . .  whatever in life bothers us, that is what is controlling us. . . Personal responsibility is not a popular teaching in this world today. But personal responsibility is not a new teaching. Personal responsibility is the oldest teaching of the universes, for it is demonstrable truth.”

CQA 46: “ . . . ofttimes no is God’s direction. . . we are not the thought; therefore, we are not the form, which is the effect of the thought. We are the intelligent, infinite Energy that moves the thought, that moves the form. . . From denial grows need. From need grows demand, frustration. . . man is a law unto himself. . . we cannot grant unto another what we have not first granted unto our self . . . only in being honest with oneself can one truly perceive the obstructions in their consciousness that would be the instruments of magnetically holding them, through their emotions, to a physical or earth realm. . . there is no reason in the realms of emotion. . . If you truly love the animal more than you love yourself, you will be joyous; you will flood your consciousness with the goodness of life that your friend, your pet, your animal got to take their journey into the happy lands where we’re all going. . . whatever happens to us is caused by us . . . The physical body is only necessary for physical existence. It has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with being necessary for the mental existence.”

CQA 47: “. . . in order to experience the truth that frees us, we cannot permit our minds to deny the Law of Personal Responsibility. . . to permit our self to think that there is something outside of our own consciousness that has the power or the potential to control our lives is a total denial of demonstrable truth. . . that type of giving, mental giving, is not from the heart. It’s from the mind and it must pay its just due of the dual law of creation. . . that which we are responsible for, that we do not make the effort to guide or control, sooner or later shall control us. . . all judgments, of course, are based upon a mental world . . . And so it is fear that causes discord, disaster, and war. . . if we permit ourselves to think that our beliefs and our thoughts are us, then we have a great struggle in life. . . as long as we believe in our own limit, then that’s all we can offer to the universe. . . We are our own obstruction. We also are the way. . . truth is individually perceived. That doesn’t mean that truth is individual. . . A wise man gives what he has to give in life and cares less what the receiver does with it. . . we grant to others what we have first granted to our self . . . the Law of Presence is the Law of Solicitation. . . in all disaster there is Divinity. . . For one must ask themselves why they feel good, as well as why they feel bad. . . to deny this power that flows through us by giving it so freely, in delusion, to something that is beyond our control is the path of suffering.”
