CQA 34: ". . . man, we see, is never left without desire. . . desire is the expression of the Divinity, God, or goodness . . . a wise man should not suppress desire . . . that which is suppressed is concealed; that which is concealed is falsehood. . . freedom without law, indeed, is license. . . Now to educate something does not mean, in any sense of the word, to eliminate it. To educate means to transform, to transfigure, to change the form, which the divine expression, desire, has taken. . . Whatever it is you want to be, stop wanting to be. Pause in consciousness and awaken to the truth that you are. . . For life is ever as we make it; she is always as we take it. . . The greatest bondage the human being will ever know is denial of the ability to personally respond to life, which is eternity. . . that which we hold destroys us, ah, but that which we give unfolds us. . . all opinion is based upon judgment. . . That which is limited cannot be true. . . One cannot be discouraged without thinking of an event that has passed."

Truth cannot be contained for truth is that which is. . . our denials become our destinies. .  . There is good in all things for there is no place that God cannot be or is not. . . Whoever sees good in all things is awakened to the truth that God, the Divine Power, sustains all thought. . . So if we want to experience goodness without, we must first awaken to the possibility of the goodness that is within. And then like shall attract like and heaven shall indeed be upon Earth. . . Man may free himself; he can never free another. But in freeing himself, he is the instrument through which those who are attracted unto him shall be freed . . . "

CQA 36: "When we experience these likes and these dislikes—that things and people are not doing what we like them to do when we like them to do it—wisdom reveals unto us that it is something inside of us. It is a thought. Therefore, generating within our consciousness a feeling. And from that, an emotion. And from that, a disturbance. From that, a discord. Until finally we’re not at ease and we call that disease. . . we can permit our self to be what we are by the simple effort of controlling the thoughts that rise in our consciousness . . . Now we cannot be what we do not permit our self to be. . . put God into it or to forget it. . . A wise man ever works towards his goal. It is the fool who thinks he has got it. . .  That which is dependent upon something else, be rest assured, is controlled by the something else that it is dependent upon. . . God, the Light that is, is not a power that is dependent upon man. And therefore, man, for goodness, is not dependent upon God. Man is dependent upon his own willingness to be receptive to that which is. . . every knock is a boost. . . We must face our adversities. . . goodness is everywhere, if it is first allowed within our own consciousness. "

CQA 37: “Now anything that is seeming or appearing, of course, is dependent upon our faith, for our faith is the very instrument through which we establish our own judgments, our own thoughts, and our own beliefs. . . Man is in a constant process of changing his beliefs. . . true friendship, as you know, respects the rights of difference and will weather any storm. . . So there is no escape from whatever law that we alone set into motion. . . you will always find in justification there has to be a victim. And be rest assured the victim will not be you. Someone else is to blame. . . The more justifications that we have reveals the more self-identification we have. We have a lot to defend. . . Change is inevitable. That includes our thoughts, our judgments, our justifications, and certainly our beliefs. . . One does not readily accept what they cannot control. . . Health, wealth, and happiness are not dependent upon anything beyond our control. Health, wealth, and happiness are totally dependent upon a broadening of our horizon, upon a lack of demanding and dictating what the universe shall do to serve us. . . it is through denial that we destine our life to struggle, disasters, and disappointments. "
