CQA 24: “There cannot be form, there cannot be individualization without limit. . . intelligent life is not limited to the planet Earth. . . the function known as challenge stimulates the human ego. . . the question must rise, “In what way have we limited ourselves to feeling good?” . . judgments are the shadows that stand between us and the light of reason that frees us. . . Man is a law unto himself and is creating his own destiny moment by moment. . . repetition is the law through which change is made possible. . . freedom and truth is an effect of self-control. . . freedom or bondage is not dependent upon that which is without. It is ever dependent upon that which is within. . . We can feel good, or God, no matter where we are and no matter what we be or what we do if we awaken in our consciousness and, in so doing, take control of our thoughts. . . For if we do not grant unto our self the right of choice, there is no way possible that we can grant it to another, for man can only give what he first has. . . If we choose to see the limits within our self, then that’s what our life shall be. . . Let us not be so insecure, mentally and emotionally, that we must impose upon another the restrictions, the limits, and the suffering that we have imposed upon ourselves.”

CQA 25: “Something does not come out of nothing. . . So everything comes from something. . . Man’s thoughts are an inseparable part of the whole. . . We only seem to have difficulties in accepting responsibility for the disasters, the struggles, the pain, and the suffering that we have, at times, in our life. . . when man stops identifying with the thought of I, he is freed from the form. And being freed from the form, he is freed from the duality of creation; being freed from the duality of creation, he becomes the I which he truly is. . . knowing the truth is the first step in accepting the truth . . . ignorance of the law is no escape from the law. . . he who judges lives in that which has been . . . we cannot tolerate in others what we refuse to educate within ourselves. . . Selfless service is service minus, or less, the thought of self. . . if we think we’re doing selfless service, it’s one of the first indications that we are doing self service. Because it takes the self to think that we are serving, and that is contrary to the demonstrable truth of selfless service. . . opportunity is like the hands of the clock: it meets every so often. . . lack of use is abuse. . . Whatever the talent is—and they are varied, of course, as man himself—whatever the soul talent is, that soul has spent centuries in evolution, in evolutionary incarnation upon incarnation perfecting that particular service to the universe.”

CQA 26: “And so it is in life that freedom, the effect of self-control—not the effect of controlling everything outside, for the only thing we can ever in all eternity control is that for which we are responsible. . . If we do not like what enters our life, then let us change the level of consciousness that has attracted it to us. . . Let us be honest with our self and we will never again be disturbed by that which is beyond our control. . . that which disturbs us is that which controls us. . . we must first be in personality (or identified with) in order to understand form, whether it is positive or negative, male or female. . . we must become the thing to understand the thing . . . If it disturbs us, then, of course, the law for us has been established; that it’s on its way, if not already there in our consciousness, to control us. . . our purpose in evolution is to be in a world, never a part of the world. . . let’s become aware and become honest with our self, and let’s start cleaning up, as they say in today’s language, our own act. And we will be so much better for it.”

CQA 27: “. . . when we have had enough of anything in life, we will make the change in our thinking which will bring about the change in our experience. . . We can only attach to anything through the Law of Ignorance. . . Let us remember we can only experience, seemingly without, what we are already experiencing within, for life is a mirror of illusion and that’s all that it really is. . . Balance is the law through which the Divine Intelligence flows unobstructed. . . bondage exists in attachment. . . When we have stress, that reveals that we have contradictory and conflicting desires . . . We are the victim of anything we are attached to. . freedom is the effect, the effect of self-control. . . Remember, limit exists only in the mental world. There is no limit, there is no restriction to that world known to man as spiritual consciousness. . . we grow or go. . It does matter that we become the captain of our ships and the masters of our destiny. . . when we understand the law that governs anything, it is the first step in gaining control over it.”
