CL 1: Our Spiritual Responsibility: “When we make the daily effort to become aware of ourselves, to go within . . . and when we balance our spiritual faculties with the functions of this sense body, then, my friends, and only then shall we be free and shall we know the peace and the joy and the bliss that passeth all understanding . . . It is true in evolution . . . that in time we will all find the way, but there is no particular way for everyone at any one time . . . It is the motive that is the germ, that is the seed, that produces the tree and all the effects . . . if you will look sincerely and honestly within, you will find the cause of all things at all times. For nothing, my good friends, can ever happen to us that is not caused by us.”

CL 2: The Freedom of Faith: “For freedom to us is to be without bondage, to feel the expression of the divinity within us. Now faith is usually associated with some particular religious sect or philosophy but in the way we are presenting it . . . it means to us a conviction, a conviction beyond the shadow of any doubt . . . When you keep faith or conviction with this reasoning faculty that is within each and every human being, when we do that, we shall find this great freedom.”

CL 3: Morals and Natural Law: “We have choice and we are free to do what we consider right or wrong to the degree of our awareness and understanding but . . . whatever it is that we do or are doing, it shall return to us, for that is a law of the universe.”

CL 4: Vital Force of Psychic Phenomena: “The thoughts that we entertain release this vital force from our very being and thoughts are more than things, they are the causes of things . . . Man is the great creator, sustained by this vital force and do not be deceived . . . and think that we have reached the gates of heaven because . . . we may have awakened a certain psychic faculty . . . the psychic realm is not the realm of spirit . . . and the spirit realm cannot be reached . . . until we have opened to some degree the faculties of our soul.”

CL 5: Levels of Awareness: “Many religions for untold centuries have spoken of have spoken of heaven and of hell . . . but the level of awareness that we have at this moment is the one that we will take into those other dimensions and, therefore, if we do not make the effort today to awaken this soul, then we are going to take with us all of our desires, all of our envies, and greeds and jealousies, all of our hates and all of our fears and all of our superstitions into what is termed an earthbound realm . . . All things that we experience are but the effects of the level we are expressing through at that moment.”

CL 6: Divinity and Direction: “When we truly awaken to the divinity within us our lives will become divinely directed. God does not give us health or its opposite. God does not give us wealth or its opposite. God Is. We and we alone make the choice whether we want to accept it or to reject it.”
